Quick Order COD Form — a Sybrid app for Shopify Last updated: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sybrid ("we," "our," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a Shopify merchant ("Merchant," "you") installs and uses the Quick Order COD Form app (the "App"), and when a Merchant's customers ("Customers") interact with the App's Cash on Delivery order forms.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how the App is configured, we may process the following categories of information:
Merchant store data: shop name, domain, store settings, product and pricing information needed to display and process COD orders.
Customer order data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, shipping address, city, state/province, postal code, and country, submitted through the App's order form.
Technical data: IP address, used for fraud-prevention features such as blocking repeat or fraudulent orders.
App configuration data: settings the Merchant configures, such as shipping rates, COD fees, discount rules, upsell/downsell offers, and fraud-protection rules.
2. How We Use Information
To create and process Cash on Delivery orders on the Merchant's Shopify store.
To provide fraud-prevention features (e.g., blocking repeat orders, specific IP addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses).
To enable abandoned cart recovery by creating draft orders when a Customer leaves contact information without completing checkout.
To display upsell/downsell offers and apply discounts during the order process.
To calculate shipping rates and COD fees based on Merchant configuration.
To provide customer support to Merchants and troubleshoot issues with the App.
To improve, maintain, and secure the App.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information. Information collected through the App is shared only as follows:
With the Merchant: Customer order data submitted through the App is provided directly to the Merchant's Shopify store (Orders, Draft Orders) so the Merchant can fulfill the order.
With Shopify: The App operates on the Shopify platform and interacts with Shopify's APIs to create orders, drafts, and discounts in accordance with Shopify's own Privacy Policy.
Service providers: We may use third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) strictly to operate the App, under confidentiality obligations.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
4. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the App's functionality to the Merchant and to comply with legal obligations. Merchants can request deletion of their store's data by contacting us (see below) or by uninstalling the App, which triggers Shopify's standard app-uninstall data handling.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the App from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Customer Rights
Depending on their location, Customers may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal information. Requests should be directed to the Merchant's store first, as they are the data controller for order information; the Merchant may contact us to assist with fulfilling such requests.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
